Many girls lament that they aren’t able to find the perfect GOTHIC PROM DRESS. But it’s important to remember that Goth is a style — not a brand of dress. You can find goth in a just as easily as you can in a formal prom gown and there are many resources out there to help you.
One of the best ways to find a GOTHIC PROM DRESS is to check out local secondhand and vintage shops. Oftentimes they’ll have old dresses that can easily be co-opted into a gothic prom style with their flared sleeves and use of renaissance lace.
Another great resource is the internet. There are many websites such as fairygothmother.com and katrinamariedesigns.com, where theatrical gowns and a variety of costume designs that be found to suit your every desire , whether they be pre-owned or 2006 dress versions. Like other girls, could also check message boards to find out what other girls did in their search for the perfect dress.
Remember to not get discouraged. Prom isn’t exactly a Goth-type affair so most of the dresses are going to be traditional. That’s okay.
